Learn how to use all ZedWallet features to send, receive, and manage your money securely

Checking Your ZedWallet Balance

Simply use the USSD Code; *115# → Check Balance

Steps:

Dial *115# and select option 6 "My Account"

Choose 3 "Check Balance"

Enter your ZedWallet PIN

Your current balance will appear on the screen

Tip: Your balance is updated in real-time and reflects all recent transactions.

Depositing Cash to Your ZedWallet

You can add funds to your ZedWallet in multiple ways:

Via ZedWallet Agent

Steps to Deposit via Agent:

Go to an authorized Agent

Inform the agent of the amount you wish to deposit

The agent will load your account with e-money in exchange for cash

Both you and the agent receive an SMS confirmation

Important: Always verify the agent's credentials and ensure you receive an SMS confirmation for every deposit.

Finding a ZedWallet Agent

ZedWallet agents are available at:

  • ZedMobile retail shops
  • Authorized partner locations
  • Selected supermarkets and retail outlets
  • Use the ZedWallet app to locate agents near you

Sending Money (P2P Transfer)

You can send money to both registered and unregistered ZedWallet users by dialing *115#. Make sure your wallet has sufficient balance.

Note: If the recipient is not registered, they will need to Register on ZedWallet to access the funds. The transaction will expire after 5 days, and the money will be automatically refunded to the sender.

Steps to Send Money via USSD:

To Registered Users

Money is instantly available in the recipient's ZedWallet account

To Unregistered Users

Recipient receives a voucher to register and claim funds within 5 days

ZedWallet to Other Mobile Money

Easily send money from your ZedWallet to users on other mobile networks. Enjoy simple, swift, and secure cross-network transactions anytime via *115#.

Steps:

Dial *115# on your ZedMobile line

From the main ZedWallet menu, select option 1 – Send Money

Choose option 2 – To Other Networks

Select the recipient's network (Airtel, MTN, or Zamtel)

Enter the recipient's mobile number and confirm the name displayed on your screen

Enter the amount you wish to send

Review the transaction details (recipient name, number, amount, and charges)

Enter your ZedWallet PIN to confirm the transfer

You'll receive an on-screen confirmation and SMS notification once the transaction is successful

Supported Networks

  • Airtel Money: Send to any Airtel Zambia number
  • MTN Mobile Money: Send to any MTN Zambia number
  • Zamtel Kwacha: Send to any Zamtel Zambia number

Important: Always verify the recipient's name displayed on screen before confirming the transaction.

Bank Transfer

Easily transfer money from your ZedWallet to any bank account. Enjoy simple, swift, and secure transactions through *115# anytime, anywhere.

Steps:

Dial *115# on your ZedMobile line

From the main ZedWallet menu, select option 5 – Send to Bank

Choose your bank from the list provided

Enter the recipient's bank account number

Enter the amount you wish to transfer (in ZMW)

Confirm the account details displayed — including bank name, account number, and account holder's name

Enter your ZedWallet PIN to complete the transaction

You'll receive a USSD confirmation message and SMS notification confirming your successful transfer

Processing Time

Bank transfers are typically processed within minutes during business hours

Check daily transfer limits in the ZedWallet app or website

Supported Banks

All major Zambian banks are supported for transfers

Security Tip: Always double-check the account holder's name before confirming the transfer. If the name doesn't match, cancel the transaction immediately.
